In the past month Google has begun showing the “Local Pack”, “Sweet 7” or “7 Pack” as a “carousel” of images instead of the standard text listings it previously showed. These results are not across the board but have been limited to a select group of vertical categories. We have found them mainly when searches are food or restaurant related. So what does this mean for local search and where is this possibly headed?
